Mission Miami

This year, we have the opportunity to be intentional and live out missions in our nation in a town South of Miami, Flordia, Cutler Bay. This community is a melting pot of the fishermen community. There’s a mixed population of Haitians, Cubans, and a diverse community.

The demographics in Cutler Bay are similar to Greenville or Charleston where there are diverse people. And there are ten-thousand square foot houses next to houses in poverty.

So are you wondering why we’re going to Miami?

Because Jesus tells us not only to live out our faith where we live. Jesus also tells us to follow and fulfill the Great Commission. We are to be intentional and relational in sharing the Gospel with all people. And as we go, the Lord God will grow us and His church.

If we can do it here in Greenville, we can do it anywhere we see the nations.

Spots on trips: 10 – 15
Who can come?: Anyone from high school, college, young professional, young families etc.
Dates: Monday, August 1-Sunday, August 7, 2022

Schedule:

Monday: Arrive day + Team Meet Up

Tuesday – Thursday: Arrive at Cutler Bay Middle School (CBMS)

  • 9am: Devo/explain missions for the day
  • 9:15-9:30am: Travel to outreach
  • 9:30-11:30am: Outreach/whole group
  • 11:30-12:00: Lunch
  • 12:00-12:15: Travel to next outreach
  • 12:30-4:30: Outreach (3 groups) -doorhangers, waters, organization
  • 4:30: Travel back to hotel
  • 5:00-6:00: Shower/get ready
  • 6:00: Travel back to CBMS
  • 6:30-7:00: Dinner
  • 7:00-8:00pm: Worship/service
  • 8:00pm: Travel back to hotel for down time for team

Friday: FREE DAY

Saturday: BACK TO SCHOOL BASH BLOCK PARTY + Debrief

Sunday: Sunday Morning Service + Lunch + Departure

Cost per person: $700, The price per person below includes hotel stay, (hot breakfast at the hotel each morning), 5 lunches, 4 dinners, supplies for outreach/mission work, Back to School Bash for the community supplies, and a mission team t-shirt.
Transportation will be covered from GCC.

Background Check information will be done through Mentor Leadership since they are on of the partners who will be help organizing the trip.

March 22: Application/registration completed with a $200 deposit
May 10: $250 due
July 5: $250 due

If you want to know more about trip and the missional plan we have as we prepare for this trip, we will have an interest meeting on March 13th.

We understand if you might not be able to go due to work, timing, etc. however, if you want to sponsor someone who is going on the trip, then will have a link for you to sponsor individuals to go. Email Eric Addison to find out how you can sponsor someone to go.
